OC DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE WILL NOT PROSECUTE TITO ORTIZ ON CHARGES OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

UFC light heavyweight, Tito Ortiz, has been officially cleared of any wrong doing stemming from his arrest on April 26. Ortiz was charged with domestic violence following an altercation with his longtime girlfriend, Jenna Jameson.

Ortiz alleged that Jameson had relapsed into her addiction to the painkiller, Oxycotin. Meanwhile, Jameson claimed that Ortiz had thrown her into a bathtub causing severe injuries.

By the end of the week, the feud was over. Jameson opted not to press charges and the couple reconciled.

However, the Orange County District Attorney’s office could have proceeded had there been sufficient evidence.

Citing Jameson’s inability to stick with her story following the initial arrest, the DA’s office decided not to prosecute.

Farrah Emami, spokesperson for the Orange County DA’s Office, said, ““We declined to file charges based on insufficient corroboration to prove a case beyond a reasonable doubt.”
