PITBULLS DON’T STAND A CHANCE AGAINST JONATHAN GOULET

Welterweight fighter, Jonathan Goulet, is set to battle Marcus Davis at UFC 113 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on May 8. Known for his uncanny ability to withstand the submission attempts of his opponents, Goulet can apparently dish it out as well. A recent adversary put up a good fight, but eventually fell victim to Goulet’s onslaught.

“I choked out a pit bull. It was hard, but eventually I completed the choke.”

While on a visit to a local dog park with his daughter, an unleashed pitbull had become agitated with another family’s poodle and Goulet ended up being the impromptu intermediary.

“I didn’t even think; I looked over and I saw that the dog had something in its mouth and I thought for sure it was a kid, so I jumped on top of it and got him in a rear naked choke. I stood him up on his back legs and I put all of my weight on him. Eventually, I realized that he only had the poodle in his mouth. He wouldn’t let go of it and I didn’t let go of him either. I didn’t want him to get mad at me and bite me on my face or to hurt someone, so I finished the choke and he passed out. When he did, he let go of the poodle, which was hurt and bleeding really bad. Even after he passed out, and I let off the choke, I didn’t let him go until the owner grabbed his chain.”

The pitbull later regained consciousness and order was restored.

Goulet, who often incorporates a sponsor’s name in his hairstyle, hasn’t revealed if the ad space has been taken for UFC 113. If not, I think PETA should pursue the opportunity.
